Key Focus on Health & Well-Being Macro Trends and Aging Population Fueling Phuket’s Business for Sustainable Growth

Phuket, Thailand – LIXIL, a global leader in pioneering water and housing products, proudly hosted the first “LIXIL x Talks”, attended by prominent property developers, architects and designers at the prestigious Sri Panwa Phuket. A distinguished panel of property industry experts and developers discussed and shared insights on property development trends of Phuket and the Southern Andaman region, including opportunities for future developments, including upscale hospitality, lifestyle and medical properties.


The event was graced by the presence and support of respected property experts and guest speakers, including Phattanan Phisutvimol, Property Developer, Secretary and Vice President of Phuket Real Estate Association, Thatree Pangote, Chief Executive Officer, Rhyme Design Group, Nitis Sthapitanonda, Executive Director, Architects 49 (A49) and Dr.Vithaya Sintharapantorn, Senior Vice President Marketing, Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC).
Over sixty guests from the property industry attended the event, which covered various topics including Phuket Insight and Trends, Health & Well-Being Strategies Driving Phuket’s Sustainable Business Growth, and Health & Well-Being in Relation to Senior Living and Aging Societies. The guests were also treated to a special showcase of the GROHE SPA Aqua Ceiling Shower, the luxury sub-brand of the GROHE brand and part of LIXIL.

All four esteemed guest speakers shared their insights and expertise with valuable contributions as follows:
Phattanan Phisutvimol, Property Developer, Secretary and Vice President of Phuket Real Estate Association, provided insights into the current landscape of Phuket’s real estate market. He discussed the specific requirements and important criteria that buyers consider when deciding on property investments, particularly focusing on how the Health & Well-being concept plays a key role in Phuket’s property selling strategies. He also highlighted how the Health & Wellness trend is shaping senior living and aging society, noting that Phuket has become one of the most popular retirement spots in Southeast Asia. The expansion of senior-friendly living properties in Phuket presents an interesting opportunity for property investors to seize in the near future.


Thatree Pangote, Chief Executive Officer, Rhyme Design Group, commented that Thailand’s health & wellness tourism become the global spotlight and the government encouraged the campaign for the Andaman Wellness Economic Corridor (AWC) which align with the global trend. This strategy can enhance sustainable growth in Phuket’s real estate market in the path forward. As a professional architect by training, he stated that bathroom design has emerged as a strategic factor in enhancing property value within the real estate market. The design of bathrooms can be linked to the Health & Wellness concept in terms of functionality and aesthetics as he illustrated his design approach and the consequent success of Botanica The Valley and Botanica Foresta received an award from The International Property Awards (IPA).

Nitis Sthapitanonda, Executive Director, A49, offered insights into the transformation of Phuket’s real estate over the past 20 years and its future trajectory. He also showcased examples of A49 architectural designs that embody the Health & Well-Being concept and cater to senior living, such as Bangsaray Heights in Chonburi. This project, designed for expats and senior living, serves as a compelling case study for the Phuket property market.
Dr.Vithaya Sintharapantorn, Senior Vice President Marketing, MQDC, stressed the exact meaning of Health & Well-Being concept in the property market. He indicated that the growth of Health & Well-Being trend globally and locally has created strong demand for well-designed “Health & Wellness residences and services” in Thailand and Phuket in the near future. Dr.Vithaya also presented the “ASPEN TREE FORESTIAS BY MQDC” – The-aging-in-place concept as this may be a concept for Phuket as well.
At the event’s conclusion, Ditawat Issara, Executive Vice President, Charn Issara and Managing Director, Issara United, shared his thoughts on the GROHE SPA experience with invited guests. “I particularly appreciated the personalization options of GROHE SPA AquaSymphony, allowing customization to my needs with its modular steam, light, and water jet options.” He emphasized that bathroom design, especially concerning the Health & Wellness trend, was a critical element in enhancing property value.
